Avila Lounge was originally opened in 2007 as part of the Trump Taj Mahal casino. The lounge was named after Avila, New Mexico, the hometown of Donald Trump’s mother. In 2016, the Trump Taj Mahal was sold to Carl Icahn, who renamed it the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. The lounge was then renamed Avila Lounge.
