Anthrax, the legendary thrash metal band, will perform at Soaring Eagle Casino on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. The show will take place at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort’s FireKeepers Theater.
Anthrax’s History
Anthrax formed in New York City in 1981. The band’s original lineup consisted of vocalist Joey Belladonna, guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Spitz, bassist Frank Bello, and drummer Charlie Benante. Anthrax released their debut album, “Fistful of Metal,” in 1984. The album was a critical and commercial success, and helped to establish Anthrax as one of the leading bands in the thrash metal scene.
Anthrax continued to release successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s. The band’s most popular albums include “Among the Living” (1987), “State of Euphoria” (1988), “Persistence of Time” (1990), and “Sound of White Noise” (1993). Anthrax also released a number of successful singles, including “I Am the Law” (1987), “Indians” (1988), “Only” (1990), and “Bring the Noise” (1991).
In the early 2000s, Anthrax experienced a number of lineup changes. Belladonna left the band in 2000, and was replaced by John Bush. Bush left the band in 2005, and was replaced by Belladonna. In 2010, Spitz left the band, and was replaced by Rob Caggiano.
Anthrax released their latest album, “For All Kings,” in 2016. The album was a critical and commercial success, and helped to re-establish Anthrax as one of the leading bands in the heavy metal scene.
