You may not have heard of the ‘After’ movie series, but many young adults have.

Two more films in series, After We Fell and After Ever Happy, are already in development, with the third film in the series recently releasing its first trailer.
Fans got another chance last year to see the second movie in the franchise – based on a string of hugely popular online novels written by Anna Todd – as After We Collided came to streaming services
Here’s everything you need to know about it.
When will After We Collided be released?
After We Collided was originally released in theaters in the UK on September 2, 2020.
But don’t worry, the movie can be streamed via Amazon Prime Video starting today (December 22) at no additional cost to Prime subscribers.
When is After We Collided coming to Netflix?
You may have seen a lot of people online and on social media asking when the movie is coming to Netflix.
That’s because in the US After We Collided streams there, but in the UK you need an Amazon Prime account to view it.
What’s after we collided?
After We Collided is the sequel to the 2019 romantic drama After, directed by Jenny Gage.
That film charted the heady romance of 18-year-old freshman Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) and gloomy British college student Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin).
Gage isn’t back for the second movie (directing is instead handed over to Roger Kumble, who previously directed the Cruel Intentions movies), but After We Collided continues the story as Tessa accepts everything she sacrificed to be with Hardin. including college, friendships and a thriving relationship with nice guy Noah (Dylan Arnold).
Former Disney star Dylan Sprouse plays Trevor, Tessa’s associate at the publishing house where she interns; like many of the fans who watch the movie, Tessa falls in love with him quickly.
The closer she looks into the past of her enigmatic beauty, the more concerned Tessa becomes that she made the wrong decision; Hardin must prove herself wrong by facing his past and changing his ways.
Despite the film resonating with its fans (it currently has a 93 percent approval rating from users on Rotten Tomatoes), it didn’t fall very well with the critics (it currently has a 12 percent approval rating from professional reviewers.
VarietyJessica Kaing said that while After was “just awful,” After We Collided is “awful,” and the AV ClubCaroline Siede said that while fans will be happy with “this slightly more campaigning continuation of the series,” for everyone else, “there isn’t enough innovation to make the second episode a worthwhile starting point.”
Not everyone was so enthusiastic about it, though, and Screen RantMolly Freeman said the film offers “dramatic romance and hilarious dialogues with some escapist fun”.
When is after we drop out?
In the third episode, “Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes.
“Revelations about her family, and then Hardin’s, cast doubt on everything they knew before and make it harder to claim their hard-won future together.”
Filming of the latest movie in the series has ended, but no official release date has yet been announced.
However, director Castille Landon has confirmed that the film will be released in 2021.
The fourth movie in the series – After Ever Happy – was shot consecutively with the third episode, so fans won’t have to wait too long for that movie either.
