Seema Dhaka is the first police officer in Delhi to be promoted out of turn for finding 76 missing children within three months. Now a web series will be created to show the inspiring story of this female police officer. The rights to this have been acquired by Absolute Binge Entertainment, an up-and-coming production house with plans to create content-driven web series and movies.
Absolute Binge Entertainment is the subsidiary of Absolute India Newspaper Group. Absolute India is one of the leading daily entertainment newspapers with a presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Bhopal. The company is owned by Mr. Yogendra Chaturvedi.
Regarding acquiring the rights to the Seema Dhaka story, Mr. Yogendra Chaturvedi: “Via Absolute Binge Entertainment we want to bring real life stories to the public in the form of film or web series. We believe in making great movies, supported by real life stories. When we got to know Ms. Seema Dhaka’s story, we immediately approached her for her rights to life story. After many creative discussions she became happy to be with us. It is a story that must be told. Soon we will announce our female protagonist who will play Ms. Seema Dhaka. “
Seema Dhaka adds, “When ABE approached me to acquire the rights to create a web series based on my life, I was surprised. More than I do, I want the public to see the struggles that these 76 children and their families have endured. So I decided to give the rights. I will be happy if an actor like Taapsee Pannu or Vidya Balan plays my character in the web series. “
