After changing the name of actor Akshay Kumar’s film from ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ to ‘Lakmii’, Karni Sena is now focused on MX Player’s web series ‘Aashram’.
Karni Sena issues notice to threaten to ban Bobby Deol’s ‘Aashram Chapter-2’
Karni Sena has described this series as an attempt to tarnish Hindu culture and also said that this series is presenting a wrong example of aashrams to the new generation. Meanwhile, the media interviews of Prakash Jha, the director of this series, have been canceled on Thursday.
Karni Sena has started showing an aggressive stance for Prakash Jha’s web series ‘Aashram’.
The upcoming episodes of the series are going to be released as ‘Aashram Chapter 2- The Dark Side’ and after watching the trailer of this, Surjeet Singh, the state organization minister of Karni Sena in Maharashtra has sent a legal notice to the makers of this series.
Karni Sena Notice: Details
The notice stated that the trailer of ‘Ashram Chapter 2- The Dark Side’ hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. Along with this, the negative image of Hinduism is being presented to the coming generations.
The character present in the series is not based on any individual, so this entire series is misrepresenting the ancient traditions, customs, Hindu culture, and aashram arrangements of Hindus. Due to this, the wrong image of all these practices is also spreading in the minds of people.
It is written in the notice that some more controversial things were shown in the first season of the ‘Aashram’ series and the same things continue in its second part as well.
Therefore, its trailer should be removed immediately and the release of the entire web series should be stopped immediately. There has been no response from the makers of the ‘Aashram’ series yet in return for this legal notice from Karni Sena.
Media interviews of the series are constantly being followed back and forth. On Thursday, Prakash Jha was supposed to talk to some selected journalists about this series, but these interviews were canceled on this occasion.
It is worth mentioning that earlier Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ was also openly opposed by Karni Sena. Karni Sena threatened that if the title of the film was not changed, he would not allow it to be released. The producers then had to change the title of the film from ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ to ‘Laxmii’.
