Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse returns with its sequel and is currently underway. The film is being revamped for a second part because it has received so much love compared to Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man films.
‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’ was the winner of the Best Animated Feature at the Oscars and Golden Globes. It is set to direct with Joaquim Dos Santos even before the awards were won.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 release date
The release date of ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2’ is set for April 8, 2024, but is expected to be delayed, as are most of the films currently in production. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 will hit US and UK cinemas on October 7, 2024.
It has also been confirmed by Nick Kondo on June 9, 2020 that production of the sequel is in production. If production continues without delay, we can expect the follow-up by October 2024.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 plot
The first part of the movie ended where Miles’ new Spider-People friends were back to their reality. There are possible ways in which they can travel or communicate between dimensions.
Amy Pascal, the film’s producer, revealed that ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2’ will be continued from where the first part left off. There will be a growing romance between Gwen Stacy, the superhero version of alternate reality, and Miles.
The plot will focus more on the couple’s story, but they will showcase other multiversal stories. There will be other Spider-Men and Women.
‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2’ cast members
The cast isn’t around yet, but if we think about what Amy Pascal said about the sequel’s plot, we’re expected to see Hailee Steinfield and Shameik Moore play their roles as Gwen and Miles.
We can also expect the return of Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, Miles’s mom, SpiJefferson Davis, Miles’s dad, and Kathryn Hahn taking on a bigger role as Doc Ock.
